Parents and Babies Cafe

Wednesdays 9:00~12.00

A huge welcome back to you all after our brief pause in operations! We hope you are as pleased to be back as we are to be reopening. We’ve missed you and our little pals very much! If you are joining us for the first time, we look forward to getting to know you and hope you will enjoy the group.

As most of you will be aware, our numbers suddenly rocketed and we had serious concerns about Health and Safety within the Church buildings and in the car park. Our sincere thanks for your patience whilst we have been trying to sort things out,

After much deliberation in order to keep a rein on numbers and be fair to everyone, we have set up a registration and booking system. Numbers will be limited to the first 35 families*.  Please bear with any teething problems which may arise and be assured your details will not be shared beyond the group, but will allow us to communicate with you if necessary.

Registration and Booking Procedures

  • To join the group, each family will need to preregister on the system, providing contact details and names and ages of qualifying children. Upon successful registration, you will be given a log-in code which will allow access to each week’s booking site.

  • Each week the booking site will open on Fridays, and the first 35 families to apply, using their log in code, will be allocated a virtual “ticket” for the upcoming Wednesday’s session. The booking site will close on the Monday before each session.

  • Upon arrival at the church each Wednesday, your family will need to check their “ticket” in against the list. Do not assume you will be allowed entry if you did not manage to book for the session*

  • All adult leaders working with children and young people have been DBS checked

  • To access the registration system please visit

Terms and Conditions

In order to preregister your family on the system you will need to agree to the following:

  • Only children up to the age of 36 months will be admitted with their family members or carers (foster).

  • As in any café situation, parents and carers are responsible for the safety and behaviour of their children at all times.

  • Sadly, we can no longer accommodate childminders and their charges.

  • As there is enormous pressure on spaces in the Church carpark, we would urge you very strongly, to walk (build those steps up!) or car share wherever possible, We cannot be held responsible for cars parked within restricted times or parked thoughtlessly on the surrounding roads.

  • At this point we still intend to open during holidays and half terms, but have reluctantly decided that older siblings can no longer be accommodated.

  • As we are not set up to provide disposal facilities for nappies, we must insist that these are taken home with you.  Please ask us for nappy sacks if required.

*The initial purpose of the group was to offer support and friendship, post pandemic, for those struggling with the life changes a new baby can bring, and that is still very much the case.  If you miss out on booking, but you feel you need to reach out for some support and a friendly ear, please make it known to us at the church on a Wednesday morning on 01277 212607 and we shall do whatever we can to help.
